I FEEL SUPER AWKWARD IN FRONT

OF A CAMERA- CAN YOU HELP ME?!

You bet! It is totally natural to feel awkward in front of a camera- it's a running joke with everyone who I work with that my business hashtag should be #whatdoIdowithmyhands. Don't worry. I've got you covered. My approach is a fusion of documenting what is real and authentic between you, while also creating a situation around you that I know will have maximum visual impact.

When we start, I ease into the shoot by doing some simple poses or motion shots (like walking and holding hands, for example). Meanwhile, I will be chatting with you, just so that you get a little time to loosen up and feel comfortable with me, let alone my camera! As you get more comfortable, I will direct you into locations and positions I know will photograph beautifully, while keeping you chatting, laughing, and relaxed so that the images continue to look natural and, most importantly, look like you

When I can tell you've gotten the hang of it and are feeling pretty good, we will get into the images that are a little more daring. That means different things for different people. For some, these are the images where you're jumping into each others arms. For others, this just means being willing to be more emotional and raw, allowing for moments that feel intimate, with a camera present. Whatever it means for you, we will follow the process of getting you to that place so that you have a variety of images that not only show the love you two feel for each other, but celebrates it as well.
